Dear NCHS Family, Our Student of the Month Program began this week.  Students selected are nominated by the faculty and final selections are made via a committee.  A big thank you to the PFA for helping with the purchase and setup of the display cases.  Please stop by to see the display when you are in the building. Below is an explanation of the Student of the Month Program.   The October Student of the Month winners are below.  We have so many deserving candidates and two will be chosen by grade level each month. Dear NCHS Family, Monday night is our annual Open House. Freshmen Parent Orientation will begin at 6:30 pm and the first bell is at 7:15 pm.   Open House is co-sponsored by NCHS and the Parent Faculty Association (PFA). This event provides an opportunity for you to become acquainted with the high school's Program of Study and to meet your child’s teachers. The evening's format does not allow for individual parent-teacher conferences, but such meetings can always be arranged at mutually convenient time in the future.  Please click here for more about Open House .   Also, please plan to arrive early as it is one of the busiest evenings of the year.   As always, thank you for your support! Wishing you all the best, Bill Egan Upcoming Events: 9/25 Freshmen Parents Orientation 6:30 pm 9/25 Open House for all grades 7:15 pm 9/26 PFA 11th Grade Networking 9/29 Club & Activity Fair for underclassmen Pictures from around NCHS: Depart

Dear NCHS Family, We had a wonderful turnout from our parent community this week at two important events.  The Senior Parent Program had big crowd of parents who were invested in knowing about the all important senior year at New Canaan High School. The school counselors did a great job presenting and their presentation can be found here . In the event that you missed the presentation, click here to see the video . The general meeting of the PFA was well attended on Wednesday morning.  The membership of the PFA learned about all of the work that has been done to increase school culture over the last couple of years. This work makes everyone feel better about the school and community.  The town takes a great deal of pride in New Canaan High School and you can see all `the PFA has done to improve the school here.   I also gave my Back to School message which had a focus on the importance of positive psychology and the benefits to being happy.   You can view my presentation
