Dear NCHS Family, Spirit Week: Spirit Week was a tremendous success.  The students were excited for each of the spirit days and they respected themselves, each other and the community.  Thank you to the students for their tremendous spirit. Here are some pics from the Pep Rally. Student/ Staff member of the month: We had over 90 nominations for the staff member of the month.  Thank you to our amazing student body for being so thoughtful and nominating our staff. Winners will be announced soon. We have also had a huge response from our faculty in nominating our students. It is so hard to choose from so many deserving students. Look for the winners soon. Close up of the Week: We have had no winners this week!!!!! Cyber Security: A few weeks ago NCPS Superintendent Dr. Bryan Luizzi created a Cyber Security team focused on training our staff, with Scott Barnett, NCPS District Technology Manager going to faculty meetings with a presentation about ways to

10/20 Weekly Update

Dear NCHS Family, Fire Drill: At approximately 10:15a.m. today we carried out a Fire Drill at New Canaan High School. Stan Sarafin, head custodian,  the high school administration, and Geoff Lambert, School Resource Officer joined me in facilitating this unannounced drill. The students and staff followed our procedures very well. As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at 203-594-4686. Vaping: Please remember to have conversations with your children about the dangers of Vaping.  In addition to the dangers (link to previous message from Janet Reed) , students will be suspended for 5 days if they choose to vape here at school. Working together, we can convince our children of the dangers of vaping. We have included the slide below on our TV announcements. Just a reminder that next week is Spirit Week and we want to make sure the students have a great time, respect themselves, each other and the community.  We hope that everyone enj
