Dear NCHS Family, Senior Prom: The Senior prom was wonderful last week.  The students had a great time and were so well behaved. They enjoyed each other and danced the entire time! Post Prom: A special thank you to the PFA for putting on Post Prom.  It was a special night and they seemingly get more amazing every year. I know the kids had a wonderful time and I personally enjoyed the virtual reality roller coasters. They scared me, but they were so much fun! Rising Above Award Six students were named for a Rising Above Award at a small breakfast. The recipients are nominated by faculty based on the recognition that they have ‘risen above’ a difficult situation, turned things around academically, assisted others in need or put forth extraordinary effort to achieve a goal. The students are: Gwenan Walker, Rachel Annulli, Ben Webster, Ben DeClue, Kylie Shaffer and Derek Perone. Congratulations for your contributions to our school community.

This week featured a Scholar-Athlete dinner at the Aqua Turf where 1800 student athletes from around the state were honored. NCHS honorees were Jackson Appelt and Molly Keshin.  While it was hard to choose from so many talented student athletes, our students represent NCHS and the community so well and Molly and Jackson truly represent the values that we want in our student athletes.   Our Visual And Performing Arts Program had a busy week.  We had three different celebrations. There were separate performances honoring band, choir and orchestra. I am alway blown away by the talent of our student body. I hope that I get to see many of you at some of our end of the year celebrations.   Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there. I am sure that your children are so thankful for everything that you do for them.  I know that I can speak for the staff and say thank you for sending us kind, com
