Happy Thanksgiving!

Dear NCHS Family, Thanksgiving is my favorite time of the year. I love everything about it. Family, football, food, and most important to me is the ability to reflect on life. It is the perfect time of year when I have a chance to step back and think about how fortunate I am.  I have a happy and healthy family and I have a chance to work with a great staff and absolutely wonderful kids in a community that truly cherishes their schools. Sometimes, like all of us, I get so busy I do not think about the good fortune that I have been given. My hope for all of you is that you have the ability to spend time with family and friends this Thanksgiving and you enjoy every second of the time that you share together. Happy Thanksgiving and oh yeah - Go Rams! Mr. Egan Principal

Dear NCHS Family, Homework over Break The staff met this week and decided to make some changes regarding homework over school breaks.  There will not be any assignments due upon return from break (at least for two days) nor will there be any tests. The hope is that families get to spend more time together in meaningful ways and that students are not focused on their work during this important time. There could still be some work in our college level courses depending on the pace and time of the year.  Additionally there could be an opportunity where students are given study guides or other work that has been assigned over an extended time period and students might want to take advantage of the time to complete this work. This respite does not preclude students from using the time to catch up or get ahead on some work. It is merely trying to put the focus on where it should be during a break, with family. This change in procedure will begin with our December break.
